From Delivery Boy to Printing Expert: Mr. Venkatesh’s Journey

Mr. Venkatesh’s story is as inspiring as the prints themselves. With a commerce degree and no prior experience, he started his career as a delivery boy at Colour Splash during the early days of colour photocopying in India. Driven by curiosity and a hunger to learn, he observed every detail, asked countless questions, and mastered the craft step by step. “I was very inquisitive to see how they would print everything and eager to understand what the clients wanted,” he recalled. His patient, hands-on learning journey perfectly illustrates how passion and perseverance can lead to success.

The Intricacies of Offset Printing

During our visit, Mr. Venkatesh explained the offset printing process in detail and compared it with digital printing. Offset printing uses aluminium plates to transfer ink onto paper or vinyl, while digital printing applies ink directly without plates. He showed us the plates and talked about important aspects like minimum order quantities and ink usage. Witnessing the care that goes into every stage—from paper cutting to the final print—helped us appreciate the complexity behind what we often take for granted.

Today, Mr. Venkatesh runs a thriving printing business with an impressive client list. “This business is everything to me.
